With a long and slender cut, flowing fabric and a kimono style belt around the waist, our Ginza dress is inspired by Japanese fashion - minimalist and refined, simple and yet strong in style.

“I've always been fascinated by Japanese kimonos, and wanted to bring that style to modern urbanwear,” says Simon, Vallier's designer and product manager. 'We imagined the Ginza as part of a woman's go-to wardrobe, mixing classical formalwear with contemporary comfort.

Its details are subtle: a concealed button placket, a back yoke accentuating mobility, a removable belt and patch pockets. At Vallier, all the elements of our clothes are chosen for their functionality - like storing your phone in your pockets, even when you are wearing a dress. Because who decided that the pockets were reserved for men?

The mid-length of the Ginza is ideal for summer. Chic and minimalist, the versatile Ginza dress is at ease in the city, perfect as a casual outfit or dressed up for your 9 to 5. You just need to know how to wear it: tie the belt up and pair it with your favorite platform sandals at the office, then remove the belt and throw on your sneakers for the post-work 5 à 7.

The sleeves of the shirt dress are also versatile. Designed to be folded - or not - our dress adapts to your tastes.

Lightweight fabric, Elegant fit and eco-responsible production

If a picture is worth a thousand words, the feeling of Tencel against the skin is worth even more. We imagined the Ginza dress in a soft, lightweight, and breathable fabric, able to accompany your movements with ease, while remaining airy and comfortable, even in a scorching sun.

We chose to manufacture the Ginza in rayon and Tencel. Produced in Lenzing, Austria, Tencel is an eco-friendly material derived from plants like cotton and bamboo. It has the advantage of requiring less water and energy than cotton and also requires less dye than its competitor. Derived from natural fibers, Tencel is also biodegradable.

Widely used in the technical and sports clothing industry as an alternative to synthetic fibers, we chose Tencel for its breathable and moisture-wicking properties.

The use of high-quality materials like rayon and Tencel for the Ginza dress, ensure a durable construction that will see this shirt dress through many springs.
